O let the nations be glad and sing: God Will Provide

I'm getting back into the blogging groove, and to get me started I'm going start a new series of posts. In this series I'll be posting a song, lyrics, reasons for posting, and Biblical scriptures that show where the song came from or the doctrines expressed in the songs. I'm hoping the songs I post are as much of a blessing to you as they are to me, and I hope it would help your hearts to glorify our Father, and His Son Jesus Christ. The title of this series will be, "O let the nations be glad and sing."

Psalm 67:4
"O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah."

My scriptural basis for this series is:
Ephesians 5:19
"Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;"
Colossians 3:16
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

Verse 1:
Isaac walked up the mountain
his father by his side
never realizing, he would be the sacrifice
and when Abraham raised his hand to take his child's life
in his heart he must have wondered why
sometimes God will take us to unexpected places
but in every situation we will find

Chorus:
God will provide
beyond what we imagine
so much more than we could fathom
He will supply
God will provide
when we trust in Him completely
and take each step believing as a child
God will provide

Verse 2:
On another hill called Calvary
the fathers only Son
was offered as a priceless gift
of faithfulness and love
amidst the cry of all mankind
God reached down from above
and covered us with Christ's atoning blood
no matter what your need is
God will always meet it
I know his grace will always be enough

Chorus (x3)

God will provide
He will provide
I know my God will provide

Our life in Christ is all of grace, and this song is always a comfort in times of need, when I feel overwhelmed by what's a head, or in general uncertainty. Thank God he provides for his children, and thank God for his grace.

This song is also a reminder of who we are, and that without God we an do nothing. So often, Christians can be come(in their minds) independent of God, and start doing work in our own strength. We sometimes think we only need the "power of God on our life," when it comes to spiritual matters, but in reality, we need the power of God on our life to simply breathe. I don't want to go off on a rabbit trail, but hopefully this song is a blessing to ya'll.

When God places us in that wonderful place, where none of our efforts will help our situation, we can always rest on that fact that God will provide!
